We are proud to participate and be a part of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. All month long, our aim is to get as many people as possible educated and involved in raising awareness with our #BEaware challenge. We know how tough this month can be for many people and it’s such an important cause, and one we’re so proud to support. Most of us know someone who has been affected, even us.
It’s important to know that there are two types of products. Deodorants and Antiperspirants. Deodorants are used to combat odor-causing bacteria, while antiperspirants block sweat glands and keep the body from releasing toxins.
Aluminum is the the active ingredient in the most effective antiperspirants. When you clog these pores with aluminum, the added toxins are absorbed into your breast. This toxic overload may lead to physiological changes─ and to breast cancer.
What you might not know is that there’s a significant link between your oral health and breast cancer. Studies show bacteria from the mouth may enter the circulatory system through the gums which then may affect breast tissue. A clean mouth — which includes your teeth, gums and tongue — helps improve your oral health and overall health, as well as reduce your risk of breast cancer.
Many people are unaware of this, but most commercial lip-balms use synthetic oils, waxes, and fragrances with hidden chemicals. One of these ingredients is Petrolatum, aka petroleum jelly which has been found in breast tumors, strongly suggesting it is a breast-cancer-promoting substance.
